A BriefIntroduction

Dr Heli Sudhir Shah is a consultant neurologist at Sterling Hospitals and specializes in the management of Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders. After completing her MBBS from V S General Hospital, Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad in 2011, Dr Heli went on to pursue her MD in General Medicine from Gujarat University in 2015. She further earned her DM in Neurology with a top honor from Gujarat University in 2019. With a penchant for the management of movement disorders, Dr Heli further went on to complete her Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai in 2024. Dr Heli’s areas of expertise include but are not limited to Botulinum Toxin, Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) Surgery, and Neuroimmunology.

As an avid researcher and educator, Dr Heli Shah has co-authored a number of books or chapters such as
-	Brain & Neurological Disorders - A Simplified Health Education Guide, 2017
-	Handbooks for patient education in vernacular language on Parkinsonism & Dystonia, Stroke, Epilepsy
-	Chapter on “Progressive Supranuclear Palsy” in the book Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders under the banner of PDMDS, 2nd Edition, 2022
-	Chapter on “Cerebrospinal fluid” for the prestigious IAN textbook of Neurology, 2nd Edition, 2023
