People with life-threatening injuries and illnesses need critical care. Critical care involves close, constant attention by a team of specially-trained health professionals. It usually takes place in an intensive care unit (ICU) or trauma centre.

Our team of intensivists and medical professionals are specially trained to provide a full spectrum of critical care services, available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We prioritize a team-based approach to care through our Critical Care and Multidisciplinary Program. Our intensivists lead a team of experienced professionals, including resident physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, vascular access specialists, physical and occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and nurses.
We work closely with doctors from a variety of specialties, such as anesthesiology, pulmonary medicine, cardiovascular medicine, cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, neurology, nephrology, pediatrics, surgery, and transplant medicine. Together, our team provides high-quality and safe critical care in operating rooms, ICUs, and other hospital settings. At Sterling Hospitals, we prioritize patient-centered care to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Our hospital's critical care department is staffed by a multidisciplinary team that treats a wide range of illnesses, including those involving multiple organs. We have significant expertise in treating patients with infectious, gastroenterological, and liver-related conditions.

- About 1/3rd of beds set dedicated to CCU with the latest multipara monitors
- Invasive and non-invasive homodynamic monitoring
- The ventilator-to-bed ratio is an unprecedented 1:2, with an ideal 1:1 nurse-to-bed ratio
- Round-the-clock services by qualified critical care specialists, pulmonologists, anaesthetists, trained nursing and paramedical staffs
- Expertise in handling non-cardiac emergencies like ARDS, acute neurological emergencies, acute ventilator failure, toxicological emergencies, complex electrolyte imbalances, septic shocks, postoperative medical emergencies etc
- To prevent the spread of infections, we have a dedicated isolation room ICU that features both positive and negative ventilation. Additionally, we have a specialized unit for treating liver-related critical care patients.
- Our team provides advanced care, including high-end hemodynamic monitoring, invasive neuro monitoring, ECMO, and CRRT. We use point of care ultrasound and 2D echo to evaluate and monitor patients in the ICU.
- We also offer comprehensive rehabilitation services, which involve early nutrition, mobilization of patients, physiotherapy, core body strength restoration, and patient motivation.
